"Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present"
It will take just seconds to read this and change your thinking..
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same
hospital room.
One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an
hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from
his lungs.
His bed was next to the room's only window.
The other man had to spend all his time flat on
his back.
The men talked for hours on end.
They spoke of their wives and families, their
homes, their jobs, their involvement in the
military service, where they had been on
vacation..
Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the
window could sit up, he would pass the time by
describing to his roommate all the things he could
see outside the window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those
one hour periods where his world would be
broadened and enlivened by all the activity and
colour of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.Ducks and swans played on the water while
children sailed their model boats. Young lovers
walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour
and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen
in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in
exquisite details, the man on the other side of
the room would close his eyes and imagine this
picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon, the man by the window
described a parade passing by.
Although the other man could not hear the band -
he could see it in his mind's eye as the
gentleman by the window portrayed it with
descriptive words.
Days, weeks and months passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring
water for their baths only to find the lifeless body
of the man by the window, who had died
peacefully in his sleep.
She was saddened and called the hospital
attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man
asked if he could be moved next to the window.
The nurse was happy to make the switch, and
after making sure he was comfortable, she left
him alone.
Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one
elbow to take his first look at the real world
outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window
besides the bed.
It faced a blank wall.
The man asked the nurse what could have
compelled his deceased roommate who had
described such wonderful things outside this
window.
The nurse responded that the man was blind and
could not even see the wall.
She said, 'Perhaps he just wanted to encourage
you.'
Epilogue:
There is tremendous happiness in making others
happy, despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness
when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things
you have that money can't buy.
'Today is a gift, that is why it is called The
Present .'
*The origin of the letter above is unknown.
Only now i know that, why is "NOW" also known as "Present". =D

A random post XD
"Your mind must be stronger than your heart because your heart doesn't knows how to difference between what is right and what is wrong. " *Quoted from one of my friend's status on facebook.
My OS : No! you don't.. It is the heart that pumps blood and keep you living..XD
HAHA, but your mind decide your living..
Given that,
Brain = Rasional
Heart = Emotional
Well, what is the ratio of this 2 elements in your life?
Hm,, personally, i prefer 2kg brain n 1 kg heart.. XD
Well, when emotions getting flood, i still have more of rational to choose my act.. hehe
BUT, emotion is still good..
It is flavoring to our life..
The peace, joy, passion.. (Well, i don't include "love" because it is an action rather than an emotion)
Hehe,
i would like to "touch" about the ration of soul and flesh too..
but in such case, i don't choose the ratio of 2:1..
Instead, 3:0... XD
but wait!
Which S.I unit that applied to soul? What about flesh?
haha..
be blessed peeps..

A worshipper
People worship in life.. either consciously or unconsciously..
Definition of worship :
show reverence and adoration for (a deity)
So,
some pay full adoration and reverence over money, some on Facebook, games, technology, coupling, boasting, or maybe friends..These eventually become the "deity" in their own life..which they found most important and essential.
However,
is such worships bear "fruit"?
We shall see it..
Then,
how should people worship God?
New International Version (©1984)God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:24
Definition of worship :

However,
is such worships bear "fruit"?
We shall see it..
Then,
how should people worship God?
The English word "worship" comes from two Old English words: weorth, which means "worth," and scipe or ship, We can see the Old English word -ship in modern words like friendship and sportsmanship – that’s the quality of being a friend, or the quality of being a good sport.
So worth-ship is the quality of having worth or of being worthy. When we worship, we are saying that God has worth, that he is worthy. Worship means to declare worth, to attribute worth. Or to put it in biblical terms, we praise God. We speak, or sing, about how good and powerful God is.
New International Version (©1984)God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:24
There we know, in spirit and truth we worship the Al-Mighty and graceful God.
It doesnt matter where the worship takes place..
But what more important is,
knowing who You are worshiping..
There is three kinds of worship. There is
- worship that involves speaking, and
- worship that involves listening, and
- a worship that involves doing.
There is a worship that expresses the heart, and worship that involves the mind, and a worship that involves the body. There is a worship that is giving praise upward, a worship that is receiving instructions from above, and a worship that carries out instruction in the world around us.
We need all three types of worship. Some people focus primarily on speaking or singing praise to God. Praise is good, but if all we do is praise God, without ever listening to what he says, we have to ask whether we believe the words we are saying. If he is really all wise and all loving, then we need to be attentive to what he is telling us, because he is worth listening to.
Similarly, all talk and no action does not show God the respect he deserves. Actions speak louder than words, and if our behavior isn’t changed by God, then our actions are saying that God isn’t important — he’s a nice idea, but not relevant to our day-to-day lives. When we really believe that God is worthy of every praise, then we will be willing to listen and to change the way we live in response to such a worthy God. We will trust him and seek him and want to please him as much as we can. Worship should affect our behavior.
And be reminded, when we talk of a "subject of person" , there is something wonderful in between,
which is a relationship, connection..
So,
let's beware of what we worship and lift high;
let's live a life of worship, not worship as part of life;
let's grow..
Get closer and more alike to God
Be blessed..
Get closer and more alike to God
Be blessed..
